Our Story
For decades, small engine repair shops have come and gone across the Boston area. Many tried to undercut prices, others fell short on service—but Dan’s Small Engine Repair has stood the test of time by staying true to what matters: fair pricing, reliable work, and guaranteed customer satisfaction.
The story began back in the 1970s, when a curious 10-year-old named Dan took apart his first lawnmower engine just to see how it worked. That spark quickly grew into a lifelong passion. By his teens, he was the go-to mechanic for family and friends. Soon, local shops and construction crews were calling on him, and what started as a hobby evolved into a thriving business.
After moving to Boston in the 1980s to earn his Computer Engineering degree, Dan never left his tools behind. Even while working full-time, word spread in the neighborhood about his skill with small engines, and the repair work picked up again—laying the foundation for the business you see today.
Fast forward to today: Dan’s Small Engine Repair is stronger than ever, equipped with factory training across multiple brands, a fully stocked workshop, and a complete set of specialty tools. Offering both on-site service and convenient pick-up and delivery in the surrounding towns, the shop makes it easy to keep your equipment running like new.
