What the lawn mower tune-up includes
This service includes the maintenance described in your equipment owner’s manual for both the engine and mower deck. We also adjust, clean, tighten, lubricate and make necessary repairs to help ensure proper operation and safety.
Engine & fuel system
- Clean cooling fins
- Change engine oil
- Inspect exhaust system*
- Replace air filter
- Check governor system
- Inspect starter and pull cord
- Replace spark plug
- Inspect and lubricate throttle control*
- Inspect ignition system*
- Adjust engine RPM/governor controls as required
- Remove carburetor bowl and clean main jet
- Inspect fuel line, fuel supply and tank
Mower deck & controls
- Clean under blade deck
- Sharpen and balance blade*
- Inspect drive components; adjust and lubricate as needed
- Inspect all cables, handle locks and related controls
